Fellow in Endovascular Resuscitation - Kindly supported by The Doris Pacey Charitable Foundation
Manik joins the Institute Team as a Fellow in Endovascular Resuscitation whereby he will be working closely with the Leadership Team on our Knowledge Innovation Programme. During his fellowship he will help to shape the future of pre-hospital education and innovation in London, with an impact both nationally and internationally.
Manik studied at Barts and The London medical school, intercalating in Experimental Pathology, where he established an interest in trauma, and the science of bleeding and injury. His Foundation Training in North East London was followed by Core Surgical Training in the Severn deanery during which he completed his MRCS examinations. Completing this allowed him to further develop his clinical and academic interests/skills, and in particular he had exposure to endovascular techniques.
On joining our team Manik aims to contribute to emerging knowledge, to explore and promote the safe use of minimally invasive techniques in the care of trauma patients, and to better understand the direction of development of hybrid endovascular practice. With an ultimate aim of being a clinician involved in the care of critically ill and injured patients whilst retaining a strong interest in basic and translational science.
