Dr. Robert Willmore
Honorary Fellow in Simulation
Rob is a graduate of the Institute's iBSc in Pre-Hospital Medicine and during his time on the course was one of the Beaverbrook Scholars, kindly supported by the Beaverbrook Foundation. He currently works as an anaesthetics trainee in East London. His interests in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine were borne out of nearly 10 years work with the RNLI around the coast of North Norfolk before choosing to study Medicine at Bristol University. Some of his professional interests include pre-hospital medicine, expedition medicine and hypothermia. During his academic foundation programme post he completed post graduate qualifications in medical education and published a number of papers on hypothermic cardiac arrest.
He has developed a special interest in high fidelity simulation following an appointment as a Director at Faraway Medicine which runs outdoor medical courses across Europe. He works closely with the Institute developing our simulation capabilities both within the organisation and as part of interagency collaborative work.
